XS Telecom is seeking a detail-oriented Controls Sr. Project Coordinator to support low voltage and building automation projects within mission-critical and hyperscale data center environments. 

 

What You Will Do...

·        Support Project Managers with the day-to-day coordination and execution of controls and automation projects.

·        Coordinate project activities across engineering, procurement, field operations, commissioning, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.

·        Maintain project schedules, trackers, action-item logs, submittal logs, RFI logs, procurement schedules, and other project documentation.

·        Track project milestones, deliverables, material requirements, and outstanding issues to ensure work remains on schedule.

·        Coordinate controls/BAS equipment, materials, documentation, and vendor deliverables.

·        Assist with procurement activities, including purchase orders, material tracking, vendor communication, and delivery coordination.

·        Review project documentation including drawings, specifications, control diagrams, equipment schedules, submittals, and related documentation.

·        Coordinate the review and routing of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project correspondence.

·        Assist Project Managers with change management, cost tracking, forecasting, and project reporting.

·        Coordinate meetings with internal teams, customers, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.

·        Prepare meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up documentation.

·        Proactively identify schedule conflicts, missing information, procurement concerns, and other project risks.

·        Coordinate with field teams to ensure they have the necessary drawings, materials, equipment, information, and resources to execute the work.

·        Support commissioning, testing, startup, punch list, and turnover activities.

·        Assist with project closeout, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, test reports, commissioning documentation, and final turnover requirements.

·        Maintain accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Serve as a key communication link between project management, engineering, field operations, and external stakeholders.

·        Ensure project activities are performed in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, project specifications, and applicable safety requirements.

·        Support multiple projects, phases, or buildings simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

·        Coordinate controls activities across large, multi-phase hyperscale data center projects.

·        Support project execution within highly structured, schedule-driven mission-critical environments.

·        Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, BAS, EPMS, network, commissioning, and other project teams as required.

·        Track dependencies between controls installation, equipment startup, programming, testing, commissioning, and turnover.

·        Assist with coordination of owner standards, sequence of operations, testing requirements, and commissioning documentation.

·        Support the resolution of field issues and coordination conflicts between controls systems and other building systems.

·        Maintain visibility into critical path activities and communicate potential impacts to the Project Manager.

·        Help coordinate turnover requirements across multiple areas, systems, buildings, or project phases.

Qualifications

·        5+ years of experience in project coordination, project administration, construction coordination, controls, automation, BAS, electrical construction, or a related field.

·        Experience supporting controls, BAS, building automation, industrial automation, or electrical projects strongly preferred.

·        Previous experience with data centers, hyperscale facilities, mission-critical construction, or similarly complex projects preferred.

·        Strong understanding of construction project workflows and documentation.

·        Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, control diagrams, and related project documents.

·        Strong organizational and time-management skills.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.

·        Experience with construction/project management platforms such as Procore, Autodesk, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar systems preferred.

·        Ability to work effectively with field personnel, engineers, project managers, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and aggressive project schedules.

The base salary range for this role is $90,000- $100,000  annually. Please note that the compensation range reflects the base pay only and does not include benefits, or bonuses this role may be eligible to receive. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by bona fide factors such as geographic work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
