Job Summary

Performs straight forward network architecture assignments under moderate direction. Uses knowledge to support the planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing network systems. Participates in configuration, installation, and performance analysis of networks.

Job Description

This position performs intermediate-level tasks with growing independence. This role involves executing technical work, coordinating with vendors, and contributing to process improvements. Consultants manage small projects and use enterprise tools to support operations and reporting.

What will you do:

  • Independently manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

  • Conduct site visits and produce engineering documentation with minimal supervision.

  • Perform equipment troubleshooting and assist with system turnups.

  • Review and validate technical drawings and documentation packages.

  • Plan fiber installations and resolve moderate fiber-related issues.

  • Process material requests and coordinate deliveries with vendors.

  • Lead safety discussions and contribute to team meetings with technical insights.

  • Implement change management actions and document operational impacts.

  • Maintain accurate project updates in tracking systems and dashboards.

  • Participate in storm restoration planning and support field operations.

Position Specific Responsibilities
  • Serve as the field-based telecommunications subject matter expert (SME).

  • Act as the primary liaison between Telecommunications Operations and project stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with, Telecommunications Technicians, Engineering, Planning, Project Management, Station Protection & Controls, Other business units

  • Support capital projects and operational initiatives.

  • Provide technical guidance on telecommunications equipment installation practices.

  • Coordinate telecommunications-related field activities.

  • Communicate project status, requirements, and updates to stakeholders.

  • Ensure telecommunications requirements are incorporated into project execution.

  • Support long-term operational reliability and maintenance of telecommunications systems.

  • Facilitate collaboration between field operations and project teams to ensure successful project delivery
