Position Overview

A leading organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Telecom Services and Expense Management functions within IT operations. This role focuses on optimizing financial processes, managing telecom-related expenses, and driving data-driven decision-making through analytics and reporting.


Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Telecom Expense Management
  • Establish and optimize processes for telecom expense tracking, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Analyze vendor invoices, identify discrepancies, and resolve overcharges
  • Perform variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis (CBA), and ROI evaluations
  • Monitor contract funding, procurement forecasting, and vendor payments
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budget tracking documentation
  • Track planned vs. actual expenses and support annual budgeting cycles
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Utilize SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to analyze large datasets
  • Generate reports for expense analysis, forecasting, and operational insights
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting systems
Database Administration & SQL Expertise
  • Manage database performance, backups, indexing, and optimization
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries (joins, CTEs, window functions)
  • Develop views, stored procedures, and data models
  • Monitor database health, performance, and job execution
Data Engineering & ETL
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion from multiple sources
  • Validate and transform incoming data from APIs, files, and external systems

Security & Compliance
  • Manage database access controls and enforce data security standards
  • Implement auditing, logging, and compliance best practices
Troubleshooting & Support
  • Diagnose data issues, failed jobs, and performance bottlenecks
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in telecom billing and datasets
Stakeholder Management
  • Translate technical findings into business insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide advisory on data and financial processes

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
  • Document database structures, workflows, and reporting processes

Cloud & Modern Platforms

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in Telecom Services & Expense Management
  • Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing
  • Expertise in SQL Server and advanced SQL querying (6+ years)
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes and database management
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Finance and ServiceNow reporting modules
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
