Role Summary:
Lead the development and execution of digital and technology strategies for key Waste customers, driving adoption of connected solutions, AI-enabled tools, and safety technologies. Partner closely with customers, Caterpillar teams, and technology stakeholders to identify business needs, implement scalable digital solutions, enhance service offerings, and accelerate technology integration that improves productivity, safety, and operational performance.
What You Will Do (Job Duties):
Develop and implement technology digital strategy for Waste accounts.
  • Translate the customer's feedback into a comprehensive technology digital strategy for key accounts.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the customer's business operations to recommend appropriate technological solutions and how they integrate with digital offerings.

Collaborate with internal teams and technology partners to drive sales.
  • Coordinate with CAT Customer Solutions Core Region and Commercial Technology Teams to expand technology adoption.
  • Assist business and functional units in creating technology & digital strategies based on customer feedback.

Enhance Waste Service Offerings for Customers
  • Find opportunities to expand service options for Waste accounts (e.g., Productivity Reporting, KPI clarification, & Safety Enhancements).
  • Collaborate with Cat Digital to develop new reports for Waste customers.

Promote AI & Safety Solutions Through VisionLink
  • Work with key accounts on solution adoption.
  • Find use cases that drive positive outcomes for customers.
  • Drive collaboration on planning a fully technology adopted site.
  • Identify connectivity configurations and support deployment and setup of key technology solutions.

What You Will Have (Core Skills):
  • Broad expertise in Relationship Management & Customer Focus: Builds lasting relationships with customers through reliability, honest communication, and continuous feedback and improvement. Consistently demonstrates and reinforces the importance of customer focus as a key organizational strategy.
  • Broad experience in Value Selling: Skilled at demonstrating the comprehensive value of products and services, distinguishing support options that meet well-defined customer needs, and sharing "value selling" best practices for waste customers within the organization.
  • Extensive experience in Negotiation: Ability to successfully complete significant negotiations, both internal and external and protect own position, while demonstrating willingness to achieve win-win.
  • Working knowledge of Account Management: Capable of handling daily account activities, analyzing sales trends, and supporting current customers.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking Skills: Demonstrates the capability to thoroughly evaluate situations and make sound decisions informed by well-supported judgment, while also contributing to the documentation of data, concepts, participants, stakeholders, and procedures.
  • Can effectively communicate customer technology needs in the waste industry using effective tools and techniques

Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related fields
  • Proven experience in Enterprise Account Management for a services organization
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar Products and Applications preferred
  • Strong Drive and Organizational Capabilities
  • Experience in the Waste Industry preferred
  • Power BI experience a plus

Additional Information:
  • The primary location for this position is Dallas, TX; with additional locations in Peoria, IL.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
  • Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.
  • This position may require 50-75% travel (very heavy in the first year and would decrease in the future).

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
