IT Operations & Cyber Security Lead

The IT Operations & Cyber Security Lead translates Business and IT Strategy into technology solutions, taking end-to-end solution ownership from idea to delivery of better business outcomes. Consequently, drives change that creates business opportunities through technology innovation and architecture. Provides insights, thought leadership and advice, partners with business and technology leaders to ensure that created artifacts meet business goals. Ensures that these artifacts are designed for production, can be delivered in a secure, compliant, efficient way and allow for re-use. Enterprise level (Enterprise Architect), a specific divisional business function or technical function (e.g. platform), can also be in scope. The IT Operations Lead / Cyber Security Officer is responsible for ensuring Ruveon IT service continuity and that Ruveon maintains its license to operate under the Bayer IT policies and procedures. The IT Operations Lead / CSO manages the IT infrastructure and workplace, the long-term services agreements with Bayer and ensures coordination with the respective Bayer stakeholders. The role also drives continuous improvement of the Ruveon digital landscape across functional and operational operations, improves the Ruveon IT security posture and increases employee and management awareness. The IT Operations Lead / CSO reports status, risk and compliance levels to the Ruveon leadership.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • The role covers three areas of responsibility, including the IT operations lead, the IT LTA Management as well as the Cyber security.
  • IT Operations
    • Manage the overall IT governance, IT portfolio and IT processes including delivery management, request management, implementation management and IT operations management within the Bayer IT procedure framework;
    • Ensure the availability, scalability, and security of IT and OT infrastructure, end-user tools and systems to support business operations;
    • Manage the delivery of IT services, including e.g., Ruveon hardware and IT infrastructure, software, and IT support, including the engagement of external service providers to meet short-term delivery needs and long-term support requirements;
  • IT LTA Management:
    • Maintain regular communication with Bayer and internal teams to discuss the status of services;
    • Oversee compliance with contractual terms and conditions for Ruveon and manage contractual changes, if required;
    • Review and approve IT LTA-related invoices;
  • Cyber security:
    • Define and monitoring the cyber security posture within the Ruveon procedures;
    • Partner and engage with Bayer cybersecurity units and Ruveon management to identify, manage and implement cybersecurity controls, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory as well as Bayer requirements;
    • Identify cybersecurity and program reporting metrics to prepare, track, and manage to show compliance and drive customer trust; automating compliance checks where possible in order to drive efficiencies and respond to requests in a timely manner;
    • Ensure support for system vulnerability analysis (SVA's) and remediation of potential audit findings.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required;
  • Proven experience managing IT supplier contracts, service providers, and related performance metrics for senior IT leadership;
  • Knowledge of IT control and process frameworks, such as ISO, NIST, COBIT, and ITIL;
  • Applied experience with IT policy and standards development, enforcement, internal controls, and compliance monitoring;
  • Experience with cyber regulatory compliance and collaboration with legal, industry, and peer groups;
  • Strong project management, business acumen, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across levels, countries, and cultures;
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics for non-technical partners and employees;
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree preferred;
  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations management, IT infrastructure, IT compliance, IT audit, IT security, or a related field.

This posting will expire on August 11th, 2026. Employees can expect to be paid a salary between 12720.00 - 19080.00 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
