About this role

We are recruiting for an energetic, business savvy, and driven Project Manager/Estimator to join our Service Division in our Kelowna office.

Houle's Service Division provides electrical solutions across a wide range of market sectors, working with clients to ensure predictable and safe operation of their facilities. Our teams manage all aspects of the job from estimating and tendering to financials, procurement, dispatch, and scheduling.

Working alongside our solutions-oriented team of skilled project managers and estimators, you'll blend your technical experience with a commitment to customer service to deliver successful projects and build lasting client relationships.

Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

Your responsibilities

  • Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities
  • Estimate and manage service work orders and electrical projects valued up to $2 million, from initiation through closeout
  • Prepare estimates, quotations, change orders and submit tenders for service and project work
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
  • Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour for service work orders and small projects up to $2 million in value
  • Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed
  • Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations
  • Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges

Your experience and skills

  • Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate
  • 2 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating
  • Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an asset
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Strong communication and team working skills
  • Good computer skills including MS Office, Procore, Teams, etc.
