Whether you're an experienced sales professional outside the heavy truck industry or a motivated individual with strong sales potential with little to no experience, this program provides a structured path to becoming a successful Outside Parts Sales Representative for the heavy truck industry.

OPS Fast Track Development Program

We are looking for individuals with strong sales aptitude, customer service skills, and the drive to build lasting customer relationships. Prior heavy-duty truck parts experience is beneficial but not required.

Participants in the program will be compensated as though they are already an Outside Sales Representative while they complete a structured development plan that includes:

Phase 1: Parts Delivery Driver and Warehouse Support (2 Months)

  • Learn our customer base, delivery routes, and parts operation

  • Build relationships with customers through daily interactions

  • Gain familiarity with inventory, products, and customer needs

  • Develop an understanding of dealership operations and service expectations

Phase 2: Parts Counter Representative (3 Months)

  • Assist customers with parts identification and ordering

  • Learn Mack and Volvo OEM product offerings

  • Develop quoting, pricing, and customer service skills

  • Work closely with service, parts, and fleet customers

  • Gain experience in leveraging resources to identifying parts, cross referencing, related and alternatives parts suggestions and more

Phase 3: Outside Parts Sales Ride-Alongs (1 Month)

  • Ride with experienced Outside Parts Sales Representatives

  • Observe territory management and customer relationship strategies

  • Learn prospecting, account development, and solution-based selling

  • Participate in customer visits and sales calls

Phase 4: Sales Manager Territory Training (2 Weeks)

  • Work directly with the Parts Sales Manager in an active territory

  • Learn territory planning, account growth strategies, and performance expectations

  • Receive coaching on sales processes, customer development, and business planning

  • Prepare for transition into an Outside Parts Sales role

Throughout the entire 6 month program there will be daily supplier training, OE training, systems training, report training and much more to grow and expand your product knowledge.

Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will be positioned to assume a territory and begin their career as an Outside Parts Sales Representative.

What We're Looking For:

  • A relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys building customer partnerships and developing new business

  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills

  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and technology

  • Heavy-duty truck parts experience is preferred but not required

We can teach product knowledge. We're looking for individuals with the drive to build relationships, earn customer trust, and grow business.
