Job description

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
FOX Entertainment
With a legacy spanning more than 35 years, FOX Entertainment is one of the world's most recognizable media brands and a prolific content producer across its iconic broadcast network and both owned and third-party streaming platforms. Known for its independent, innovative spirit and provocative, groundbreaking storytelling, the company was reinvented in 2019 with the formation of FOX Entertainment. While maintaining its leadership in broadcast television (9-1-1: Lone Star, The Simpsons, The Cleaning Lady, Hell's Kitchen, LEGO Masters), the company is actively building a portfolio of businesses and library of owned original content. To date, FOX Entertainment's long-term growth strategy has included the acquisitions of award-winning animation studio Bento Box Entertainment (Bob's Burgers, The Great North, Krapopolis, Grimsburg), entertainment platform TMZ, and global production studio MarVista Entertainment (The Way Home, Rescuing Christmas), as well as the formation of the culinary and lifestyle content venture Studio Ramsay Global (Next Level Chef, Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars) in partnership with Gordon Ramsay. The company also established its in-house unscripted studio FOX Alternative Entertainment (The Masked Singer, Snake Oil, I Can See Your Voice, Name That Tune), FOX Entertainment Studios (Animal Control) to develop scripted content, and worldwide content sales unit FOX Entertainment Global.
JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Entertainment is hiring a Senior Manager, Production Technology Programs to shape and advance production-facing technology strategy across Entertainment.
This role begins at greenlight and extends through dailies, ingest, and transitions into post-production environments. It partners with Production, Studio Operations, Marketing, and Technology leaders to co-develop and operationalize scalable production technology frameworks that support content creation at scale.
This is a strategic program leadership role focused on physical production and early post workflows. It ensures facilities, field infrastructure, vendor ecosystems, and production-to-post pathways are aligned, repeatable, and built for long-term scalability.
The Senior Manager, Production Technology Programs focuses on supporting productions by ensuring they follow clearly defined, aligned standards and integrate smoothly into centralized platforms, enterprise systems, and core infrastructure environments.
Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace for a minimum of four (4) days per week is an essential function of the position. The selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Studio-Wide Production Technology Frameworks
  • Partner with studio stakeholders to co-develop and implement scalable production technology standards with measurable success criteria
  • Reduce variability across productions by establishing repeatable workflow models
  • Serve as the senior program escalation point for production technology alignment and readiness
  • Balance creative flexibility with operational discipline to enable production at scale

Production Lifecycle Enablement
  • Provide end-to-end program leadership from greenlight through post-ingest handoff
  • Align physical builds & designs (e.g., facilities, owned production gear) with defined technical, workflow, and archive requirements
  • Drive proactive readiness, resolving gaps before production launch rather than reacting after issues surface

Production To Post + Archive Alignment
  • Standardize ingest, metadata, naming, and archive expectations & policy
  • Ensure clean transitions into internal marketing, animation, and external post partners
  • Define and reinforce clear handoff boundaries with centralized platform teams

Vendor & External Ecosystem Strategy
  • Align production vendors, post partners, and integrators to consistent technical frameworks
  • Evaluate external best practices and incorporate them into studio standards
  • Prevent siloed or one-off vendor implementations that create operational risk
  • Influence FOX's production technology posture within the broader production technology market

Innovation & Emerging Technology Enablement
  • Partner with internal innovation teams to operationalize new tools within production & partner environments
  • Translate emerging technologies into scalable, production-ready deployment models
  • Create structured implementation pathways regardless of whether solutions are AI-driven or traditional

Governance & Executive Visibility
  • Own the production technology program roadmaps, risk posture, and executive-level reporting
  • Surface tradeoffs and operational impacts early
  • Translate production complexity into clear, strategic decision points

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Productions launch with defined, studio-aligned technology standards
  • Physical production consistently meets downstream ingest and archive requirements
  • Workflow consistency improves across shows
  • Post teams receive predictable, standardized inputs
  • Emerging technologies can be implemented in a controlled, scalable way
  • Studio leadership views this role as a thought partner - not just a project manager

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 7+ years leading complex, cross-functional technology programs
  • Experience supporting physical production and/or post-production workflows, including familiarity with dailies, media ingest, and archive workflows
  • Experience aligning external vendors and technical partners
  • Strong understanding of the production lifecycle from planning through ingest
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strategic operator with production credibility
  • Structured program leadership at scale
  • Executive-ready communicator
  • Comfortable in matrixed, fast-moving environments
  • Builder of standards, not one-off solutions

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
  • Studio, network, or large-scale content production experience
  • Familiarity with IP-based production infrastructure
  • Experience implementing emerging or AI-augmented production technologies
  • Background in production operations, media technology, or post systems

This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
