🚀 Technical Writer 2 | Tualatin, OR | $39–$43.50/hr | 2-year contract


Are you a Technical Writer who enjoys turning complex manufacturing processes into clear, accurate, easy-to-follow instructions? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading global semiconductor equipment company and make a direct impact on advanced manufacturing operations.


We’re looking for a Technical Writer 2 to support manufacturing teams in Tualatin, OR. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing support teams to create and maintain documentation used to build and test complex systems.


What you'll do

  • Create and maintain clear, accurate work instructions, assembly procedures, and test documentation
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Support teams to capture instructions for future builds, updates, and work stoppages
  • Translate technical information, schematics, 3D models, diagrams, layouts, and verbal descriptions into clear written and visual instructions
  • Work with technicians and cross-functional teams to audit and improve work instructions
  • Support continuous improvement projects and process development
  • Respond to manufacturing escalations and ensure instruction corrections are completed on time
  • Ensure documentation meets engineering, customer, safety, and quality requirements


What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of related experience, ideally in technical writing, manufacturing engineering, or a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with manufacturing methods, procedures, hardware specifications, safety/quality, or product development
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working with schematics, diagrams, layouts, and/or 3D models
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to audit documentation for compliance with engineering requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
