Technical Writer IIIWe are seeking an experienced Technical Writer III to support technical documentation, publication development, editing, quality control, and communication activities. The position will serve as a liaison between internal customers and support service providers while coordinating document production, technical content, publication standards, and project deliverables.The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of technical writing, editing, publication, or documentation experience, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, vendors, and other stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the liaison between customers and support service providers, including graphic design, typing and document processing, editing and proofreading, quality control, printing and production services, and external vendors.Coordinate and oversee documentation and publication work to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.Communicate project status to clients and adjust workloads or request additional resources based on project requirements.Review, edit, proofread, and coordinate production of technical publications in accordance with applicable standards.Create, maintain, and update user manuals, technical manuals, online help systems, training materials, and technical documentation.Ensure accuracy, readability, consistency, and overall quality of printed and electronic publications.Ensure documents comply with applicable company standards and style guides.Coordinate publication assembly, formatting, print quality, and final production.Collaborate on the planning, design, development, and deployment of new publications, reports, web content, and revisions to existing materials.Compile information from multiple sources and provide recommendations to improve document cohesion and consistency.Provide research, writing, editing, document consultation, development, and design support to internal clients.Oversee and support various communication platforms, including web-based tools, Watts Up, survey utilities, and selected SharePoint sites.Compile and produce reports and assist with tabulation and analysis of survey data.Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements and product details.Research, write, edit, and proofread technical information to create clear and concise content for both technical and non-technical audiences.Required Qualifications10+ years of relevant experience in technical writing, editing, documentation, publishing, communications, or a related field.Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and document-development skills.Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple documentation or publication projects.Strong ability to organize information from multiple technical and business sources.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to document accuracy and quality.Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and customer requirements.Experience working collaboratively with technical professionals, business stakeholders, vendors, and support teams.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with engineering terminology is preferred.Experience developing technical documentation for engineering, utility, energy, safety, or industrial environments.Experience developing user manuals, technical manuals, training materials, reports, and web-based content.Experience with document-production workflows and publication standards.Experience with SharePoint or similar content management platforms.Experience compiling reports and working with survey data.Knowledge of corporate style guides, document standards, and quality-control processes.Key SkillsTechnical WritingTechnical Editing & ProofreadingDocument ManagementPublication DevelopmentUser & Technical ManualsTraining DocumentationEngineering DocumentationQuality ControlStakeholder CoordinationProject CoordinationSharePointWeb ContentReporting & Survey AnalysisVendor CoordinationDocument Formatting & ProductionIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a senior-level technical writer with strong experience translating complex technical information into clear, accurate, and concise documentation.
