Job description

The Technical Writer creates and maintains clear, accurate product documentation for residential, commercial, and specialty water heater and boiler products. This role supports technical publications, document control, product standards, and illustration development.

Responsibilities
  • Create and revise technical documents such as manuals, guides, parts lists, bulletins, diagrams, and spec sheets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and produce accurate technical information.
  • Review content for accuracy, consistency, and company standards.
  • Assist with document revision control and release processes.
  • Capture and edit product photos for documentation and marketing materials.
  • Create and maintain basic illustrations, callouts, and diagrams.
  • Participate in audits and testing to build product knowledge.
  • Organize and maintain documentation files and supporting assets.
  • Help standardize formatting, terminology, and style.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the technical publications department.
Job Requirements
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical writing or communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
