Distinction, LLC is a small, Mississippi-based business that was awarded operation of the St. Louis Job Corps Center. We are looking for qualified applicants who are enthusiastic, energetic, and purpose driven.

About the role
Responsible for the overall management of the Center's Career Technical Training (CTT) program including staffing, program and documentation compliance, credential attainment, and post-center placement outcomes. The Career Technical Training Manager also ensures compliance with Center standards, company Standard Operating Procedures and Department of Labor (DOL) requirements.
What you'll do
  • Manage flow of students through each Career Technical Training program to ensure monthly production and outcome goals are met. Counsels students, as necessary.
  • Ensure appropriate curriculum established, updated, and enhanced regularly for every CTT area.
  • Ensure instructor's credentials/certifications remain current and that instructors obtain the credentials required for each trade.
  • Review and provide feedback on CTT Instructor weekly lesson plans and ensure effective implementation.
  • Observe CTT classes and monitor the effectiveness of each instructor's classroom management.
  • Analyze data from DOL statistical reports to ensure students are making timely progress and obtaining primary and secondary credentials in their training program.
  • Make recommendations to improve trade performance.
  • Develop corrective action plans for Career Technical Training Programs, as needed.
  • Conduct student interviews, group discussions, and focus groups to evaluate curriculum, teaching methods, and student satisfaction with trade programs.
  • Work closely with other managers to ensure students are scheduled to classes and engaged in activities that will maximize their success in the program and meet DOL requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and one year experience working with disadvantaged youth, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence with an acceptable driving record.

The pay range for this role is:
70,000 - 76,000 USD per year (St. Louis JCC Main)
