The Technical Training Manager leads a team responsible for developing and delivering product, application, and technical training that helps global customers, channel partners, service partners, and internal teams confidently select, apply, operate, service, and support our products.
This role partners closely with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Care, Engineering, and regional stakeholders to build practical, scalable learning solutions that improve product knowledge, application confidence, customer experience, and sales/service effectiveness. Through effective training and enablement, this role helps improve customer confidence, strengthen brand loyalty, accelerate product adoption, improve service readiness, and support sales and revenue growth.
The manager sets team priorities, drives execution of the training roadmap, ensures high-quality and accurate technical content, expands scalable learning delivery, and uses feedback and performance metrics to improve customer readiness, product adoption, and training effectiveness.
What You Will Do at Graco
Training Roadmap & Program Management
  • Develop and maintain a practical multi-year roadmap for product, application, sales, and service training.
  • Develop annual training plans and deliverables based on business opportunities and product priorities.
  • Coordinate execution of roadmap initiatives across functions and regions.

Training Program Development & Delivery
  • Oversee development and delivery of instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and blended learning programs.
  • Improve consistency, quality, and accessibility of training across global audiences.
  • Support certification and competency programs for customers, channel partners, service partners, and employees.
  • Ensure training content remains current, accurate, practical, and aligned with product and application needs.
  • Extend training reach through scalable delivery channels and regional partner networks.

Learning Technology & Continuous Improvement
  • Use learning platforms, webinar tools, digital content, and self-paced learning methods to improve access and efficiency.
  • Identify practical opportunities to apply new learning methods or technologies where they improve customer experience and scale.

Business Results and Measurements
  • Define and track training metrics such as engagement, course completion, certification activity, learner satisfaction, and knowledge confidence.
  • Connect training programs to measurable business value, including improved customer experience, customer retention, product adoption, lead generation, sales enablement, service effectiveness, and revenue growth.
  • Provide concise reporting on progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Use insights from learners, customers, partners, and internal teams to improve program priorities, remove knowledge gaps, and create a more consistent premium customer experience.
  • Leverage training data to continuously improve training content, delivery, and learner outcomes.

Team Leadership and Financial Management
  • Lead, mentor, manage, and develop a team of training professionals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Drive team performance by setting clear goals, objectives, and priorities providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
  • Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual training budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives across programs and regions.
  • Build team capability in technical training, digital learning, partner enablement, and customer education.

What You Will Bring to Graco
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Business, Marketing, Education, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical training, customer education, sales enablement, learning and development, or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing multiple training programs and projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning technologies.
  • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, both domestic and international

Accelerators
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Previous people leadership experience.
  • Experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, contractor, or technical product environments.
  • Experience with certification or train-the-trainer programs.
  • Experience supporting distributors, channel partners, service centers, or external trainers.
  • Comfort using learning metrics, customer feedback, and business data to improve programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with global and regional stakeholders.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
