MAGroup Canada – Tecnickrome Aéronautique is seeking a Technical Director The Technical Director is responsible for the technical team and the methods engineering team. This role leads the technical development of new parts, the optimization of manufacturing processes (shot peening, HVOF, plating, and other special processes), as well as the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies within the plant. The position also provides technical support to operations and oversees the industrialization of new parts, along with continuous improvement of manufacturing methods.

The incumbent must ensure high-quality technical service using available information and resources, often under tight deadlines and in alignment with production and business priorities. The role requires initiative and creativity to continuously improve the efficiency of the technical function and to achieve performance and delivery objectives. MAGroup Canada provides integrated aerospace landing gear manufacturing solutions through a unified team of highly dedicated and exceptionally skilled professionals.

By combining machining and special processes, we create superior value for our customers, employees, and partners. More specifically, MAGroup Canada – Tecnickrome Aéronautique specializes in surface treatment of landing gear components. The company has developed deep expertise in nickel, chrome, zinc-nickel, cadmium, and cadmium-titanium plating processes, as well as HVOF coatings, non-destructive testing (NDT/CND) including fluorescent penetrant inspection and magnetic particle inspection, burn detection, shot peening, machining, and painting.

Requirements University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or other technical diploma with relevant experience. Engineer with 10 years of experience, or Technician with 20 years of experience. Aerospace industry experience preferred.

Surface treatment experience an asset. Proven experience in personnel management required. Manufacturing environment experience required.

Bilingual: French and English (spoken and written). Key Competencies : Judgment, dynamism, integrity, initiative, teamwork, communication, leadership, workload management, and relationship management. Other Skills Proficiency with office and technical drawing software.

Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, 3D models, and aerospace manufacturing specifications. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
