About the Role:
(CO, AZ, NV, CA)
Manages a team of Commercial Relationship Specialists (Loan Administrators) within the Commercial Lending division and specific assigned market. Responsible for maintaining a high level of commercial loan closing expertise within supported market providing closing/technical counsel to loan administrators; and partnering with market managers to monitor and manage workflow. Reports to the Regional Loan Administration Manager and provides monitoring results and remediation of findings within assigned market/team and promotes and maintains efficient operations processes designed to achieve the highest levels of customer service.
  • Assists Regional Loan Administration Manager in the development and implementation of Bank-wide operating procedures, practices and controls to ensure compliance with bank policies/regulations.
  • Manages a team of Commercial Relationship Specialists within a defined market or geography. Identifies, hires, motivates and retains top talent.
  • Identifies opportunities for improved operational efficiency and increased productivity and provides recommendations to management.
  • Partners and confers with management to coordinate operations and activities.
  • Provides expertise and recommendations to the business units regarding process, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensures proper standards are implemented in order to safeguard the company assets.
  • Manages and oversees the workflow of Relationship Specialist team to ensure a balanced workload across team.
  • Partners with market leaders in ongoing portfolio monitoring and maintenance activities to ensure a high-quality loan portfolio.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.
  • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.

About You:
Education
Experience
  • 2-5 years - of relevant experience and an in-depth understanding of Commercial C&I and real estate financing, closing, procedures, and compliance regulations. (Required)
  • 2-4 years - of prior management experience managing a team, hiring, and conducting performance evaluations or equivalent work experience (Preferred)

Skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and develop others.
  • Advanced knowledge of loan documentation and closing processes.
  • Experience in managing and implementing banking policies, procedures, practices and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skill. Ability to attract, motivate, and retain a high-performing sales team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the Bank operating from remote locations.
  • Demonstrated accountability, dependability, initiative and an ability to effectively prioritize tasks to ensure optimal results.

The pay range for this role is $54,000.00 to $97,000.00.
The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
