Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Location:  Rochester Hills, MI 
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to end users. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, resolve help desk tickets, and ensure timely resolution of IT-related problems while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Manage and resolve help desk tickets using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, ConnectWise, Zendesk).
  • Support user account administration, including Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Configure and support mobile devices using Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Set up and deploy new computers, laptops, and IT equipment.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and technical procedures.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of IT Help Desk or Technical Support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Active Directory and user account management.
  • Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Experience supporting desktop hardware, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
