Job description

Southeast Gas has an immediate opening for a Systems Support Specialist I at its Corporate Office in Andalusia.

Responsibilities for the position include:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing network infrastructure for Corporate and SCADA systems.
  • Installing, maintaining, and supporting virtual and physical servers.
  • Managing Active Directory and Group Policy configurations.
  • Supporting software platforms, backup systems, and network security.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for network and server environments.
  • Developing and conducting technical training for Information Services staff.
  • Maintaining system documentation and security protocols.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience working with networking components, server hardware, applications, and security.
  • Valid Alabama Driver's License.
  • Strong communication, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support network infrastructure and server systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical employees.
  • Moderate travel required.
