Purpose: ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Provides comprehensive technology support to the Emporia Public School District. Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all district technology systems by providing expert troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and effective user training. Acts as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries and delivers a high standard of support to empower staff and facilitate seamless technology integration.

Qualifications:ย ย ย ย ย ย
Education/Certifications(s)/Licenses(s):
- High School Diploma or equivalent, prefer Associates or College Degree in a technology related field or relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, etc.)
- One (1) year of experience in technology support or related field
- Current class C Driver's License
- Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the Central Office
Special Knowledge or Skills:
- Experience with any or all of the following: Google Suite for Education and ChromeOS Management, Ticketing and Inventory Systems, and other SAAS platforms
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Essential Functions:
- Compile reports, maintain documentation, and have a strong understanding of working in software to produce quantitative output.
- Serve as the main point of contact for technology inquiries and ensure timely issue resolution through effective communication.
- Provide a high standard of excellence in technical support to district staff for computers, peripherals, software, network connectivity and application access issues.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Adapt seamlessly to evolving technologies and environments. Maintain strong attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively within teams and across departments. Manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently. Operates successfully in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Conduct and participate in training sessions on technology equipment and software.
- Establish and maintain a means of communication to ensure timely response to technology related issues. Communicate clearly with diverse audiences, including customers and colleagues.
- Assist building staff, students, or others with technology support instruction, both onsite and remotely, via management software or telephone. Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of network equipment.
- Assist with inventory of technology equipment and supplies.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and support of district projects as assigned.
- Respond to and refer work orders and technology requests to appropriate personnel.
- Complete training regarding student and staff data systems.
- Obtain, gather, input, and organize pertinent data as needed for technology requests and projects.
- Effectively utilize the expertise of other district professionals and/or outside consultants to support the efficient and effective operation of district processes and systems.
