Job Summary:

The Technical Analyst - IT is the liaison between the business unit and IT architects, systems, and support functions. This position is responsible for translating business requirements into technical requirements. They will be responsible for project management of IT resources, process changes, implementation, and technical and functional analysis, and will work hand-in-hand with the business side of an organization to support process improvements. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the development of the Technical strategy/infrastructure to support business strategy (i.e., data management, business intelligence, IoT, etc.) and Processes. Work with the business group to understand and support Business Systems and Process needs, identify projects, build business cases, and facilitate project prioritization.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst on reviews and analysis of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or leveraging existing systems.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst on the documentation of as-is capabilities about business processes, technology, etc.
  • Assist in technical development and testing of new business processes, capabilities, and supporting technologies
  • Performing application design activities (e.g., writing technical designs), portions of technology architecture, technical design activities, and portions of technology build, test, and deployment
  • Work with the business group(s) to define and prioritize projects to achieve the future state.
  • Ensures the solution (technical and functional) designs meet the company’s technical standards.
  • Developing technology deliverables.
  • Manages IT resources actively engaged in business projects to ensure successful completion.
  • Analyze all business requirements, recommend appropriate applications and technology for the same, design all data flow charts and diagrams for processes, and provide effective solutions to all issues.
  • Functional knowledge of all IT-related systems and recommend efficient modifications to systems to improve efficiency and reduce the cost of all operations, determine appropriate procedures for all IT technologies, and assist in all equipment configurations.
  • Work to drive ultimate utilization, faster adoption, and higher proficiency on change impacted on personnel in the organization in order for business results to be achieved.
  • Analyze, facilitate, model, and organize information in order to reconcile conflicts, elicit requirements, and distinguish solution ideas from business needs.
  • Evaluate all IT architecture and develop required presentations and white papers for all technical processes, evaluate the performance of staff, and provide required feedback on all processes.
  • Provide leadership assistance to several other analysts in planning, analysis, and execution of plans.

Other Functions:

  • Effectively runs team meetings by scheduling, developing agendas for, and facilitating project meetings. Documentation of discussion with action items is effectively captured and shared shortly after meetings occur.
  • Create and maintain project documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton TS19649/ISO14001 certification by supporting corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of available IT Tools with respect to complexity, functionality, and standards.
  • Understanding of Interconnectivity with intelligent assets
  • Understanding of both business and information technology concepts

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of relevant analyst professional experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to produce information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong Data Management understanding with emphasis on end-user application.
  • Advanced user in the Microsoft Office Suite and Statistical tools.
  • The ability to wear PPE in the required areas is a condition of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record and adequate insurance.
