Technical Sales Marketing is a specialized field that combines deep technical knowledge with sales and marketing strategies to promote and sell complex products or services, often in industries like technology, engineering, or manufacturing. Professionals in this role bridge the gap between technical teams and customers by understanding product features and translating them into benefits that meet client needs. They may develop marketing materials, deliver presentations, and provide technical support during the sales process. Their goal is to help customers understand how a product or service can solve specific technical challenges, while also driving business growth.

How do technical sales marketing professionals collaborate with product development teams to align sales strategies with product capabilities?

Job description

Title: Technical Sales & Marketing Specialist
Shift: First Shift
Salary: $70,000 to $90,000, highly dependent on experience level, with a robust corporate benefits package

Who we are:

We are a premier, full-service industrial resource reclamation corporation based in Northeast Ohio that focuses entirely on transforming complex industrial manufacturing byproducts into high-value, sustainable commodities. Serving key accounts across the aerospace, automotive, catalyst, electronics, and thermal spray manufacturing sectors, we help companies achieve zero-landfill goals through innovative circular economy solutions. We are rapidly expanding our market footprint and are currently hiring to bridge the gap between material science and business development.

Technical Sales & Marketing Specialist Role:

The Technical Sales & Marketing Specialist drives business growth by utilizing a technical foundation in chemistry to evaluate manufacturing byproducts for recycling viability while simultaneously managing B2B digital marketing to attract inbound corporate accounts. This role exists to identify prospective industrial clients, audit their material streams, and successfully reintroduce complex production byproducts back into the global supply chain.

Technical Sales & Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Scout, identify, and engage new industrial prospects across the aerospace, automotive, catalyst, electronics, and thermal spray manufacturing sectors
  • Evaluate non-hazardous production byproducts including spent catalysts, thermal spray powders, dust collector fines, grinding wheels, abrasives, and alloy swarf
  • Coordinate client material sampling and laboratory profiles to determine reclamation viability
  • Take full ownership of the B2B digital presence and corporate brand across modern networking platforms
  • Create engaging, modern content to highlight the zero-landfill mission, educate manufacturing executives, and drive inbound corporate inquiries
  • Conduct face-to-face site surveys at manufacturing facilities to audit byproduct streams and build trust with plant managers
  • Coordinate specialized logistics paths and environmental recycling certification paths for client materials
  • Represent the corporation at national industrial expos, manufacturing trade shows, and aviation/MRO events to secure new B2B accounts
  • Conduct regular regional travel to client facilities to maintain strong partner relationships
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to align market exploration strategies with proprietary reclamation capabilities

Technical Sales & Marketing Specialist Reporting Relationships:

This position reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), offering high-level visibility into corporate leadership, strategy, and business growth. This role carries no direct supervisory responsibilities at this time.

About You:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related technical discipline
  • Possess native comfort and proven skill with modern digital platforms, content creation tools, and business networking channels (specifically LinkedIn)
  • Demonstrate the ability to hold technical discussions with factory engineers regarding chemical compositions
  • Communicate financial and ecological value propositions clearly and persuasively to corporate executives
  • Exhibit a fast and adaptable learning style to master proprietary reclamation processes and environmental tracking systems
  • Maintain a strong drive to build lasting professional relationships and trust within the manufacturing sector
  • Show open willingness to engage in domestic travel for industrial trade shows and onsite client facility visits
  • Display a strong foundational knowledge of basic chemistry principles and industrial logistics
  • Embrace an energetic, self-motivated approach to bridging technical asset assessment with B2B business development

Next Steps:

If you are a driven, relationship-oriented professional with a strong foundation in chemistry and a passion for industrial sustainability, we would like to hear from you. Please submit your resume and portfolio details to apply.

  • Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Position requires a mix of professional office environments, digital content creation work, and physical site surveys within industrial manufacturing environments. Candidates must be able to walk production floors, handle material samples safely according to protocol, and manage regular regional travel.
