Job description

From screening to research and development, Lunit is transforming how the world advances cancer detection - boldly, intelligently, and with humanity at the core.
We build trusted partnerships with clinicians, health systems, and companies worldwide to deliver validated AI solutions that enhance clinical confidence, accelerate discovery, prioritize precision care - and bring the future of cancer diagnostics within reach.
To find out how you could contribute to our mission to conquer cancer as the Senior Technical Sales Engineer please read on.
Purpose:
The Senior Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to both our customers and sales teams throughout the sales cycle. The role involves engaging with customers, addressing technical queries and collaborating with internal teams to ensure technical information is available for marketing. This role will communicate the value proposition of the products from a technical perspective, build trust with customers, and deliver high-quality technical solutions. The Senior Technical Sales Engineer will also partner directly with our EVP, Sales and Sales team members, owning every technical dimension of the sales cycle - from IT security reviews and PACS integration architecture to executive briefings and custom asset development.
Why This Role Matters
Your work will directly impact how healthcare providers adopt and benefit from AI technology. Every successful implementation helps clinicians gain faster access to insights, improve operational efficiency, and ultimately enhance patient care. If you thrive on building relationships, solving complex problems, and driving meaningful outcomes, this role offers the opportunity to make a real difference while working at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
What you'll be doing:
  • Partner with sales team members to advance enterprise sales cycles from technical qualification through close
  • Own and continuously maintain a master list/matrix of PACS and VNA integrations supported by Lunit's AI software, and manage the ongoing technical relationship with PACS/VNA vendor partners needed to keep it current
  • Lead IT and clinical informatics reviews covering PACS/VNA integration, DICOM/HL7 compliance, cloud and on-premises deployment, data privacy, and cybersecurity requirements
  • Build custom technical assets for each deal: integration architecture diagrams, security questionnaires, RFP responses, product comparison documents, and workflow impact analyses
  • Own all technical follow-up after every meeting - proactively send summaries, track open items, and drive prospects to technical sign-off
  • Assist in the preparation for and represent Lunit at customer executive briefings and industry conferences and be on point to run the technical aspect of those meetings (RSNA, SIIM, SBI, etc.), including on-site attendance as required.
  • Channel field intelligence - common objections, integration friction, competitive positioning gaps - back to product and marketing teams
  • Engage in pre-sales activities by directly interacting with customers and responding to technical information requests from Sales team.
  • Be available to join calls and answer questions quickly for large strategic opportunities.
  • Offer guidance and input on customer security concerns and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create reusable technical content.
  • Support the customer onboarding process by being responsible for installing, monitoring and updating on-premises systems, including training onsite IT staff as required by the customer for a small number of projects to maintain relevant skills.
  • Work with the Product Managers to handle technical requests from sales, document them in the appropriate systems, and collaborate with sales to develop use cases for these requests.

What you will bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical, clinical, or engineering field
  • 5-8 years in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, technical pre-sales, or technical customer service role in medical imaging, radiology IT, clinical AI, or the broader medical device industry.
  • Hands-on fluency with hospital IT environments: PACS, VNA, HL7 FHIR, DICOM, and cloud/on-prem infrastructure
  • Experience managing technical relationships with PACS/VNA or other imaging-ecosystem vendor partners, ideally including ownership of an integration compatibility matrix or similar reference tool.
  • Polished executive presence - equally comfortable with a CIO and a lead radiologist
  • Proactive communication style - you send the follow-up before anyone asks, and you own the action items
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% for customer visits and conferences and to periodically work scheduled evenings or weekends to support trade show activities and customer sales calls.
  • Working knowledge of hospital IT infrastructure - networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls), Windows/Linux server environments, virtualization, and remote access tools (RDP, Citrix, VPN) - sufficient to speak credibly with IT teams. Hands-on system administration (server builds, thick-client setup, VM configuration) is not required for this role.
  • Familiarity with breast imaging workflows and/or radiology AI a strong plus

What you will receive:
The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, full time equivalent plus variable compensation. Benefits include the option to participate in medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances; a 401K plan with a company match; and generous paid time off.
Other things to note:
  • This role will be hybrid if the successful applicant lives within commuting distance of our US office (Lynnwood, WA). For candidates outside this location, the role will be fully remote.
  • Candidates must currently have the right to work in the United States to apply.
  • Lunit International operates across multiple time zones, and this role may occasionally require working outside of standard business hours to support international customers or team collaboration. We offer flexible scheduling to help balance these needs with personal commitments/work life balance.
  • Proof of COVID 19 vaccination required, except in limited circumstances where a legally recognized medical or religious exemption may be able to be accommodated.

Lunit International is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. We will endeavor to fill vacancies with the candidate who is the best fit for the role, without regard to gender, marital or family status, religious or ethical belief, race, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, political opinion, employment status, military status, sexual orientation or any other status protected by law.
