Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Senior Director, Global Fulfillment & Distribution Operations to join our team at Stanley 1913! This leadership role involves owning end-to-end fulfillment and distribution execution throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. It includes full accountability for a global logistics budget near $100M. You will drive the vision and execution of our global 3PL network strategy, lead a distributed international team, and play a vital role in scaling Stanley 1913's fulfillment capabilities during a period of accelerated growth.

As a senior leader reporting directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, you will influence organizational strategy, guide cross-functional decision-making, and ensure fulfillment operations are a competitive advantage for the business. This is not a build-from-scratch role - the team is in place, the strategy is underway, and the opportunity is to drive it home.

What You Will Do
  • Global 3PL Operations: Lead all third-party fulfillment and distribution relationships globally - Stanley 1913 operates exclusively through 3PL partners. Manage incumbent relationships across regions, including large-format DC operations and DTC-focused fulfillment nodes. Drive SLA compliance, performance visibility, and regular business reviews across all partners. Navigate sophisticated commercial and legal situations with 3PL partners, including contract disputes and service recovery.
  • North America Network Strategy & Execution: Drive the US DC/FC Network Study to completion and implement the future-state. Handle lease obligations and exit timelines across a multi-node North America footprint spanning the West Coast, Southeast, and South-Central regions, including active Canadian operations. Lead commercial agreement negotiations and new node onboarding in alignment with network optimization goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a geographically distributed team structured across four pillars: Global Shared Services, North America, EMEA, and APAC. Develop and promote talent, including filling open in-country roles and supporting active contract negotiations in APAC markets. Partner closely with the CSCO and peer VP-level leaders across procurement, planning, and commercial teams.
  • Financial Stewardship: Own the global logistics P&L (~$100M), including variable freight, 3PL management fees, and capital project spend. Coordinate invoice approval and validation processes across all regions. Build and maintain budget models that support network scenario planning and case development.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with colleagues across departments - sales, marketing, technology, finance, and legal - to maintain fulfillment operations that reflect company growth and customer commitments, including regulatory and product compliance requirements affecting fulfillment.
  • Travel up to 30%.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, logistics, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, fulfillment, or logistics operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale global 3PL networks across multiple regions - experience in asset-light, 3PL-only environments strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-region logistics (NA, EMEA, APAC) including ocean freight, customs, drayage, and import compliance.
  • Experience running a North American distribution network with multiple concurrent sites and lease obligations across the US and Canada.
  • Budget ownership at or above the $50M level; proficiency with P&L accountability and cost modeling.
  • Strong commercial foresight - able to negotiate, structure, and handle sophisticated 3PL and carrier contracts, including dispute resolution.
  • Experience at a CPG, consumer goods, or brand-led company with both DTC and B2B (wholesale/retail) fulfillment channels preferred.
  • Proficiency in BI tooling and Excel modeling; familiarity with ERP and WMS platforms in a 3PL-operated environment.
  • International team leadership experience - leading across time zones, cultures, and employment structures.
  • High ownership orientation - operates with significant autonomy and drives decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior partners and translate operational complexity into business impact.
