What is an off premise sales manager?

An Off Premise Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and growing sales of a company's products in locations outside of its own premises, such as retail stores, supermarkets, convenience stores, or online channels. This role involves developing sales strategies, managing relationships with retailers and distributors, and ensuring product visibility and availability in these external outlets. They analyze market trends, negotiate contracts, and often lead a sales team to achieve revenue targets. The position requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, as well as knowledge of the industry and its distribution channels.

How does an off premise sales manager typically collaborate with retail partners to drive sales?

An Off Premise Sales Manager works closely with retail accounts such as grocery stores, liquor stores, and convenience outlets to maximize product visibility and sales. This involves regular communication, strategic planning of promotions, and in-store merchandising support. Building strong relationships and understanding each account's unique needs are key to increasing sales and achieving growth targets.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an off premise sales manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Off Premise Sales Manager, you need a solid background in sales strategy, account management, and the beverage or consumer goods industry, usually with a relevant bachelor's degree.
