They work closely with sales teams, clients, and engineering departments to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Their responsibilities often include preparing technical proposals, delivering product demonstrations, and ensuring that solutions are feasible and align with both customer expectations and company capabilities. Job description

Who You Are
You are a seasoned virtualization architect who thrives in complex, multi-domain environments and enjoys guiding clients towards outcomes that align technology with business strategy. You bring a consultative mindset to every engagement, asking the right questions and influencing decisions rather than leading with products. You are comfortable owning solution strategy end to end, partnering closely with Account Executives and technical leaders to drive successful deal outcomes. You also take pride in mentoring others, helping elevate technical rigor and consultative skills across the organization.
About The Role
The Senior Virtualization Pre-Sales Architect plays a critical role in shaping technical strategy for high-value, multi-practice opportunities at Myriad360. This role carries full ownership of solution architecture from discovery through design validation and deal progression. You will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Practice Directors, Client Solution Architects, and Principal Architects to deliver cohesive, scalable solutions that align with client goals and business priorities. As a senior technical leader, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and a mentor to CSAs and engineers across the organization.
Must be based and reside in the United States. Travel up to 25% may be required.
Other responsibilities include:
  • Lead sophisticated, technical workshops centered on educating clients, creating conceptual designs, functional consumption plans, and other various workshop topics needed for pre-sales consulting
  • Assume full ownership of solution architecture and technical strategy for medium to large-scale opportunities
  • Proactively identify cross-practice opportunities spanning networking, data center, cloud, security, and platform engineering
  • Collaborate with Client Solution Architects (CSAs) to ensure alignment across practices by supporting cohesive architectural solutions and well-defined execution pathways
  • Collaborate with Practice Directors and Principal Architects to draft and validate solution designs, bills of materials (BOMs), and statements of work (SOWs)
  • Serve as a key technical escalation point during advanced stages of the sales cycle
  • Oversee and provide support for professional services engagements
  • Build, maintain, and perform demos in the Myriad 360 lab and/or in partner lab environments
  • Mentor CSAs and engineers in best practices for solution design, discovery methods, and consultative selling
  • Contribute to the development of reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, and enablement resources
  • Represent Myriad360 in senior-level client discussions, workshops, and technical briefings
  • Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies to the requirements section
  • Identify and escalate security risks to the appropriate Executive Leadership Team member and actively contribute to remediation efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired skills and experience:
  • 7-10 years of experience in virtualization solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, and/or customer engineering roles
  • Relevant OEM certifications (current VCF 9 certifications) are highly preferred
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Broadcom VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x or its components preferred
  • Demonstrated success in designing and selling non-VMware solutions such as Nutanix preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge in designing and selling vSphere Kubernetes Service and/or other Kubernetes platforms preferred
  • Demonstrated success in designing and selling datacenter compute, storage, and/or data protection (DR, backup, replication) solutions desired
  • Advanced consultative discovery skills with a proven ability to guide client decision-making processes
  • Capability to independently manage complex technical sales cycles
  • A strong desire to learn new technologies outside of your comfort zone to keep up with bleeding edge approaches
