We are seeking a technically fluent and execution-driven Technical Project Manager to lead development efforts across embedded systems, firmware, device drivers, Linux-based tools, and Python applications. In this role, you will manage cross-functional engineering teams building low-level and systems software, ensuring efficient planning, integration, and delivery across hardware and software domains, with a strong emphasis on software development processes and release coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate projects involving embedded firmware, Linux driver development, and supporting tools from initiation through delivery.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, and engineering deliverables across software, hardware, and quality assurance teams.
  • Collaborate closely with technical leads to define project scope, estimate effort, and prioritize features based on technical and business needs.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives, to keep teams aligned and productive.
  • Support and enhance CI/CD and release processes across firmware and systems tools to ensure reliable and predictable software delivery.
  • Identify project risks early, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment between technical work and overall business objectives.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with engineers, stakeholders, and leadership on project status, risks, and timelines.
  • Promote best practices in documentation, version control, and change tracking to maintain high-quality engineering processes.
  • Use project tracking and collaboration tools to maintain accurate plans, track progress, and coordinate cross-functional activities.
  • Work within mixed-language environments, ensuring effective integration of C/C++ and Python components in embedded and Linux-based systems.
Essential Skills

  • Proven experience managing embedded systems, firmware, or driver development projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development processes and team dynamics.
  • Familiarity with software release cycles and CI/CD concepts in embedded or Linux-based environments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Git, Notion, and Confluence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with project management in technical environments involving low-level and systems software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of embedded system architecture and hardware–software integration workflows.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems concepts, including user-space versus kernel-space and driver architecture.
  • Exposure to mixed-language environments, such as C/C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel modules, device trees, or board bring-up processes.
  • Experience with Agile administration and coordination of ceremonies and artifacts.
  • Comfort with standard productivity and documentation tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to promote and enforce best practices in documentation, version control, and change management.
Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment focused on embedded systems and Linux-based software. The role involves close interaction with software, hardware, and QA teams, using modern project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Git, Notion, Confluence, and standard office productivity applications. Work centers on managing complex technical projects that span low-level firmware, device drivers, and supporting Python applications, with an emphasis on Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and structured release processes.
