This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Permanence system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible forthe technical project management of the RF component development projects for Blue's Lunar Vehicles.
  • Apply expertise in project management, technical product maturation, and organization development to develop efficient and cost-effective solutions for the Lunar landers.
  • Assist theRF Systems team in developing and maintaining technical, cost, and schedule baselines.
  • Prepare for and support the execution of program reviews, including Lunar Permanence Senior Management.
  • Help develop and maintain the Lunar vehicle meeting and review operating rhythm.
  • Develop robust plans meeting deliverables and manage the key operating metrics - including technical, cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Assist in developing RF Systems productroadmaps. This includes the development and incorporation of technologies to meet program milestones, including future derivatives.
  • Work with internal and external customers to understand and shape stakeholders' current and future mission needs.
  • Interface with external vendors and suppliers to manage RF hardware procurement, development schedules, and technical compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership of the highest caliber as you coordinate fortheRF SystemsDirector with each of the IPTs and supporting Blue Origin business units.
  • Monitor technical progress, requirements, budget, schedule, deliverables, and risks as well as review recommendations for change withLunarRF Systems and Vehicle Directors.
  • Communicate progress to the leadership team via; program management reviews weekly/monthly, finance reviews, long-term forecasting business plans, and project deep dives.
  • Utilize good engineering and business judgment to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered.
  • Support Agile-based planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with other RF Systems Technical Project Managers to establish operational best practices and streamline across the various IPTs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with MS Project, Jira, and Primavera P6
  • Minimum BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in relevant areas of engineering operations applied to spacecraft systems and environments
  • Experience with design/build/test project methodology experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management such as Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to earn trust and maintain positive and professional relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters in Radio Frequency Engineering or related Engineering or Scientific field.
  • Experience with space hardware procurement and supplier management

Experience with flight hardware development and qualification


Compensation Range for:

CA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70 CO applicants is $119,814.00 - $167,738.55 WA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70
