Technical Project Manager / Delivery Lead
Location: Hartford, Connecticut (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level Delivery Lead to manage the end-to-end delivery of complex, technology-focused initiatives. This role is pivotal in planning, executing, and delivering strategic projects, with a primary focus on a large-scale data center modernization and cloud migration to AWS. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and executive leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Take end-to-end ownership of technology delivery for strategic business initiatives, including a primary focus on data center modernization to the cloud.
  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and business analysts.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, project plans, milestones, and delivery schedules.
  • Represent technology initiatives in executive forums, providing clear updates on project status, risks, and key decisions.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure smooth processes and resolve technical blockers.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, particularly those involving sensitive data such as PHI, PII, and PCI.
  • Establish program governance frameworks and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, and architects to define priorities and delivery strategies.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8-10+ years of experience in technical program or project management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale enterprise technology initiatives. A background with 2-4+ years of prior development experience is strongly preferred to understand technical complexities.
Technical Skills: Specific experience with cloud migration and transformation projects is required, with a preference for AWS. Experience with AI programs is also relevant. A strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies is necessary.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry experience is considered a plus but is not mandatory.
  • SAFe certification is a nice-to-have, aligning with the team's agile methodology.
