Job description

RMC is seeking a highly qualified Zero Trust Program Manager (ZTPM) to lead and oversee Zero Trust initiatives supporting NSWC Crane's Information Technology Division. This role requires a strategic and technical leader responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of the transition to a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
The ZTPM will lead NSWC Crane IT Division's transition to Zero Trust Architecture by developing strategy, overseeing implementation, assessing maturity, engaging stakeholders, managing technology selection, and ensuring continuous improvement.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment, enabling employees to effectively perform their duties both on-site and remotely. While periodic on-site presence may be necessary for collaboration and mission support, the position does not require a full-time, five-day on-site commitment, allowing for a balanced and adaptable work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive Zero Trust roadmap aligned with organizational objectives and the DoD Zero Trust Overlay, prioritizing IAM, micro-segmentation and endpoint security.
  • Programmatic Oversight: Lead cross-functional teams in defensive cyber operations and Zero Trust solution delivery.
  • Assessment & Gap Analysis: Execute Zero Trust maturity assessments to identify capability gaps and build actionable roadmaps.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as liaison between leadership, mission partners, and technical teams.
  • Technology Oversight: Oversee integration of MFA, NAC, and PAM technologies.
  • Change Management: Drive organizational transformation through training and communication.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ensure compliance and effectiveness of the Zero Trust Architecture against evolving threats.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT program management
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatory
  • In-depth understanding of NIST SP 800-207, CISA ZTA, and the DoD Zero Trust Overlay
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security and enterprise networking
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities across leadership and technical teams
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CISSP or CISM certification is preferred
