  • Global Functions Technology (GFT) delivers innovative technology solutions and key global platforms for client's Global Functions division.
  • These solutions enable client to comply with regulatory mandates and empower client's businesses to achieve their goals, both current and long-term.
  • Client's products and initiatives adhere to client's strategic architecture and support the end-to-end integration of multiple global functions within the bank including Finance, Risk, and Controls.

Job Overview:
  • As a member of GFT's Transformation Delivery team, the Program Management Lead will be responsible for one or more technology programs supporting GFT clients.
  • The Program Management Lead is self-motivated and takes initiative to partner closely with dev leads, internal clients, and all other relevant program stakeholders and contributors, to ensure programs are planned, managed and delivered successfully, that they meet client requirements and deliver on defined success criteria, that programs adhere to bank policy and procedures, and that sufficient transparency is provided to stakeholders throughout the life of the program.

Responsibilities:
  • Works with wider program team to develop program plans, budgets, success criteria, and other program artifacts.
  • Tracks status, maintains the plan, generates program metrics and status reports, and conducts status meetings on required cycles.
  • Ensures all stakeholders are informed with the appropriate level of detail.
  • Continuously evaluates programs to ensure they are meeting standards, adhering to budgets, meeting deadlines and delivering required benefits.
  • Knows program details as well as "the big picture".
  • Drives engagement and accountability of project participants.
  • Ensures the right people provide inputs and approvals at the right times.
  • Is sensitive to global participation, and provides reasonable accommodation for colleagues in different time zones.
  • Proactively identifies and documents risks and issues, works with team members to define and execute mitigations and resolutions.
  • Ensures appropriate and timely escalations. Accountable for getting programs back on track when necessary.
  • Knows company policies, procedures, and tools
  • Works with GFT PMO to ensure programs stay compliant with evolving policy and procedures
  • Ensures data is updated correctly and timely in required tools; actively seeks, and works with leads, to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement of the program management process.

Qualifications:
  • 10 plus years of work experience, with 5 plus years' experience in IT Program and Project management with a track record of driving results on large scale programs
  • Success facilitating global and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, and analytically, and to creatively problem solve
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build relationships quickly, influence colleagues and clients, and increase collaboration among the program participants.
  • Ability to engage at all levels including senior executives
  • Willing to learn and adopt new tools, new processes
  • Attention to detail, including spelling, punctuation and stakeholder preferred formatting
  • Proficient in key software tools such as MS Office tools, Jira, SharePoint
  • Capital Markets experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Finance and Treasury process strongly preferred
  • Prior hands-on development experience desirable

Education:
  • Bachelor's or University degree or equivalent work experience
