Program Manager
Location: Tampa, FL or Jersey City, NJ (3 days onsite 2 work from home)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Program Manager with a background in Cybersecurity, IT Security, or Enterprise Risk to lead complex initiatives in a regulated environment. This role requires a well-rounded technology foundation and the ability to bridge communication between business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have prior consulting experience and operate with a PMBOK-based discipline.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end program management for initiatives within Cybersecurity, IT Security, and Risk domains.
  • Serve as the primary translator between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Manage programs using PMBOK-based methodologies, including scope, schedule, dependency, and milestone tracking.
  • Own risk and issue management, including identification, assessment, and documentation with defined owners and mitigation plans.
  • Define and manage program health indicators, including criteria for Green, Amber, and Red status.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level PowerPoint materials for program status, risk summaries, and remediation plans.
  • Operate within a policy-driven, governance-heavy, regulated environment.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and key sponsors.
  • Reconcile and manage delivery data across multiple systems, including JIRA, PPM tooling, iHub, and PlanView.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager within Cybersecurity, IT Security, Technology Risk, or related domains.
  • Prior consulting experience is required.
  • Demonstrated success managing initiatives in highly regulated environments.
  • Strong foundational IT knowledge across systems, infrastructure, applications, and security.
  • Expert-level experience in risk vs. issue identification and management, as well as dependency and milestone tracking.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, with the ability to build and update materials in real time.
  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A decisive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with PMBOK-based program management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or formal PMBOK-aligned program management training.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale transformation or remediation initiatives.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks, compliance, or risk governance models.
