OVERVIEW
If you're a Senior Engineering Program Manager who thrives on bringing complex technologies from concept to reality, influencing technical direction through leadership and execution, and aligning diverse teams around a common goal, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager - New Product Introduction (NPI) to join our team. In this highly visible role, you will lead the execution of next-generation semiconductor capital equipment programs, driving alignment across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Field teams to successfully transition innovative products from concept development through manufacturing readiness and product launch.
This role is ideal for a technically credible program leader who can navigate complexity, anticipate challenges before they become obstacles, and drive disciplined execution across the product lifecycle. While you will not own the design itself, your ability to influence outcomes, challenge assumptions, manage trade-offs, and align stakeholders will be critical to program success.
Your work will directly impact how breakthrough technologies scale into manufacturing and reach customers around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Complex NPI Programs from Concept to Manufacturing Readiness
  • Own end-to-end execution of multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, driving successful delivery from concept design through process validation and manufacturing release.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans that translate complex engineering activities into executable schedules, milestones, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to ensure commitments are met, risks are addressed proactively, and program objectives remain on track.
  • Lead phase-gate reviews, milestone readiness assessments, and executive-level communications that provide clear visibility into program health, risks, and critical decisions.

Influence Technical Execution Through Program Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted partner to Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Apply engineering judgment and technical curiosity to identify risks, challenge assumptions, facilitate trade-off discussions, and support informed decision-making.
  • Translate complex technical discussions into actionable program implications, business decisions, and execution plans.
  • Identify system integration, product maturity, and readiness risks early, driving cross-functional resolution before they impact program delivery.

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment and Business Outcomes
  • Act as the primary program interface across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Field organizations.
  • Align stakeholders around priorities, commitments, resource needs, and execution strategies in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Foster collaboration and transparency among teams while maintaining focus on program objectives, schedule commitments, and customer requirements.
  • Escalate critical issues appropriately, providing data-driven recommendations and facilitating timely resolution.

Manage Program Scope, Cost, and Change Control
  • Own program-level planning and execution across scope, schedule, resource allocation, and cost objectives.
  • Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), assessing downstream impacts and ensuring changes are implemented without jeopardizing key milestones.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to support Costed BOM accuracy and achieve design-to-cost objectives.
  • Balance competing priorities and trade-offs while maintaining alignment with product, business, and customer goals.

Enable Manufacturing Readiness and Product Transfer
  • Lead program planning and cross-functional coordination for process validation, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp activities.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Field teams to ensure material readiness, depot planning, and operational preparedness.
  • Integrate supply chain constraints, material availability, and operational dependencies into overall program schedules to prevent late-stage disruptions.
  • Drive disciplined product transfer to Sustaining Engineering and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) teams, ensuring a seamless transition into ongoing operations.

Support Customer and Market Introduction Activities
  • Coordinate activities related to customer-site evaluation tools and early product deployments as part of NPI execution.
  • Ensure readiness across technical, operational, and customer-facing functions to support successful product introduction and adoption.
  • Champion a customer-focused mindset by balancing technical excellence, manufacturing readiness, and delivery commitments.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required; Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • Degrees in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related fields will be considered with demonstrated technical program leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional engineering, product development, or New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale engineering programs in a program management, business leadership, or operational leadership capacity.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to effectively engage with engineering teams, understand complex electromechanical systems, and facilitate technical decision-making without direct design ownership.
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment, capital equipment, advanced manufacturing, or other highly engineered product environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of vacuum systems, robotics, motion control systems, heaters, power supplies, instrumentation, and PLC-based controls.
  • Exceptional program planning, execution, risk management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence at all organizational levels and drive alignment among competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs with shifting priorities and aggressive timelines.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks for design review and technical comprehension.
  • PMP certification or equivalent program management training is a plus.
