Job description

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Data Center Programs to serve as a critical liaison between Strategic Account Operations, District Operating Centers (DOCs), Project Managers, and Construction Managers. This role ensures technical excellence and operational consistency across large-scale, complex programs. You'll provide technical support, develop and maintain standardized tools and commissioning procedures, manage warranty campaigns, drive best practice sharing among field personnel and assist in site readiness. This is a remote role with approximately 25% travel.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $150,000 a year. A company vehicle is provided and this position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
Program & Technical Support
• Collaborate closely with DOC Managers, SAO Project Managers, and Construction Managers to ensure seamless execution of program deliverables.
• Act as the technical point of contact for program-level escalations and inquiries.
• Support DOCs with technical requirements, material procurement, scheduling logistics, and troubleshooting.
Process Development & Standardization
• Develop, maintain, and deploy commissioning procedures, Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and playbooks to ensure operational consistency across regions.
• Establish and refine program execution processes and procedures to support efficiency and scalability.
• Support creation of standard reporting templates and dashboards for program KPIs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program performance.
Knowledge Sharing & Best Practices
• Collect lessons learned from individual projects and disseminate best practices across SAO, DOC and quality & engineering teams.
• Facilitate training sessions for field personnel on digital tools and technical standards.
Warranty & Compliance
• Manage warranty campaigns, including tracking, resolution, and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to safety processes and compliance with electrical standards.
Operational Readiness
• Support new and existing sites by partnering with District Operating Centers (DOCs) to proactively forecast upcoming projects.
• Communicate anticipated field resource requirements in advance, including staffing levels, required skill sets, and training needs, to ensure readiness for execution.
• Coordinate with DOC leadership and Strategic Account Operations to align on resource planning and deployment timelines.
• Identify and communicate design changes, product-specific training needs and technical readiness gaps to support successful mobilization and execution of upcoming work.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical industry project/construction management, electrical field services, or electrical field sales.
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of an international airport. No relocation is being offered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
  • PMP or Commissioning Agent Certification
  • 5+ years' construction/field services experience in data center space
  • Proficiency in project management and construction industry software packages
  • Experience leading teams

Skills:
POSITION CRITERIA:
• Collaborative working style & self-starter; ability to work remotely without co-located supervision
• Strong experience in power distribution field in servicing, maintaining, and testing electrical power distribution equipment.
• Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate technical information and applications to non-technical personnel; educating customers and presenting information to internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated strong organizational, project, time and task management skills, with use of software systems to manage and track numerous priorities.
• Knowledge and practice of safety processes related to working with electrical and electronic equipment, de-energized processes, points of isolation, and job safety.
• Knowledge of the Data Center market and operating in a program environment
