You'll work closely with the DAP State Support attorneys in helping provide statewide legal support and administrative services to other DAP-funded providers. Core responsibilities include managing data collection and reporting systems; coordinating in-person and remote meetings and legal training sessions; maintaining the DAP portal, website, and other resources; and supporting the production and design of a quarterly newsletter, including project management, design, and electronic distribution. Requirements

ย  Eligible to work a hybrid schedule under Empire Justice's organizational policy.

Develop and maintain efficient data collection systems and processes.ย 

Communicate with DAP programs statewide to collect accurate, complete case opening and closing data, and ensure timely reporting.

Generate quarterly and annual reports for OTDA, and other reports as needed.ย 

Assist State Support attorneys and presenters with the planning and preparation of training materials.

Coordinate all logistics of hosting meetings and legal trainings, including all technical aspects of hosting webinars (e.g., platform setup, presenter support, registration, and recordings), and for in-person trainings (e.g., room reservations, equipment setup, and on-site coordination)

Work internally to support other administrative tasks related to trainings, such as processing expenses, billing for fee-for-service trainings, and processing honoraria.

Support the production of a quarterly newsletter, including the design and distribution, the management of distribution lists, and the creation of webpages.

Work closely with internal teams and vendors to maintain and improve the Empire Justice DAP portal and website, including troubleshooting, updating content, and enhancing functionality.ย 

Develop and maintain systems and processes to track work.

Provide administrative support to DAP Statewide Attorney Coordinators and assist with other communications as needed.

Coordinate with Marketing, Communications, Policy, and Operations teams for DAP-related issues and projects.

Demonstrate a high level of comfort and commitment to working with people from marginalized communities.ย 

Work closely with your assigned supervisor and participate in regular supervision meetings, including work plan development and grant deliverable management.ย 

Travel, as necessary.ย 

Please note that all positions will supervise other practice group members if needed.

Due to limited resources, all staff are expected to perform administrative and other support-related duties to serve our clients and fulfill our mission as a non-profit legal services organization.

Experience and Attributes

At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in data collection, analysis, and/or project coordination, is preferred.ย 

Strong multitasking and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation.ย 

Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and in organizing data and information.

Proficiency in other Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint), with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to other applications.ย 

Excellent skills in document and form creation, report writing, and data pulling.ย 

Basic familiarity with learning graphic design tools (e.g., Canva), along with an understanding of effective, well-organized visual design and layout.

Basic familiarity with learning website maintenance and content creation in WordPress.ย 

Basic familiarity with learning the fundamentals of email marketing platforms, including email design and distribution, and support management.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse team and external partners.

Demonstrated commitment to working on behalf of marginalized communities.
