Cardiovascular Surgeon needed for a very busy practice – Join this well-established Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery group based in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Company performs heart surgery and thoracic procedures in a multi-hospital surgical network with some of East Tennessee’s preferred medical centers – Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Parkwest Medical Center, and Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Cardiovascular Surgeon

  • Examine, analyze and record the patient's medical history and information

  • Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments and procedures

  • Supervise activities of nurses, assistants, specialists, residents and other medical staff.

  • Operate and follow an established surgical technique.

  • Call 1:3, every 2-3 weekends
