About the Role

In this hands-on leadership role, you will serve as the primary technical expert in the field, taking responsibility for field-based operations on security systems projects - overseeing installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and emergency response across diverse commercial and institutional environments. You will manage field technicians, supervise subcontractors, ensure project execution, and provide client support that surpasses expectations.

Frequent travel is required, up to 75% domestically within the US and internationally to Canada, Mexico, and Latin America.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing
  • Manage and execute security system projects, including but not limited to installations, maintenance, and emergency response for intrusion, access control, video surveillance, and fire/life safety systems.
  • Configure and troubleshoot security system issues to ensure rapid resolution and minimize downtime.
  • Implement technical solutions to enhance efficiency and service delivery quality, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead the coordination efforts among field technicians, subcontractors, and clients to ensure operational smoothness.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess operations and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Create and manage technical documentation, reports, and system drawings.
  • Provide client training, walkthroughs, and post-installation support.
  • Maintain accurate time logs, manage inventory, and support field logistics.
  • Train and mentor field staff on technical processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • As needed, assist in budget planningfor field operations and manage expenditures effectively.
  • Keep up with industry advancements and new technologies to incorporate into technical solutions.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Over four years of experience in electronic security or low-voltage systems.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency with systems like Honeywell, Bosch, Lenel, Genetec, Axis, i-PRO, HID, Mercury.
  • Field certifications preferred: BASA, Genetec, Bosch, Axis, i-PRO.
  • Working knowledge of IP devices, firmware updates, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings, wiring diagrams, and network layouts.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in the use of technical software and project management tools (Excel, Outlook, project tracking apps, mobile tools).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Work Conditions & Requirements
  • Up to 75% travel, including overnight site visits within the US and abroad (Canada, Mexico, and LATAM).
  • Must be available for emergency calls, weekend work, and occasional holidays.
