What We're Looking For:

The Technical Operations Analyst independently analyzes system-related challenges and develops technical solutions to support internal platforms, tooling, and operational infrastructure. This role focuses on system configuration, reporting, automation support, and data integrity to drive efficiency across teams.

The Analyst proactively identifies opportunities to improve internal systems, enhance workflows, and standardize technical processes within assigned projects. This role works autonomously within defined scope, leading small to medium technical initiatives and supporting larger, more complex system projects led by senior team members.

Key partnerships include Director-level and below stakeholders across Engineering, Product, IT, Data, Security, and business teams. The Technical Operations Analyst is responsible for executing assigned project work, maintaining system documentation, and ensuring adherence to governance and technical best practices.

Technical Operations establishes and maintains standards for internal systems management, automation, integrations, and data governance. The team supports enterprise platforms across regions and product lines to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Technical Project Executionย 
    • Independently lead small to medium technical initiatives; support large and extra-large projects led by Leads or Managers.
    • Configure, test, and optimize internal systems and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
    • Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into system enhancements.
    • Coordinate tasks and timelines to ensure delivery within scope and deadlines.
    • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to clarify requirements and ensure alignment.
    • Track work and manage requests using Jira (or similar ticketing tools).
  • Technical Intake & Operational Support
    • Manage intake of emergent system requests and urgent technical issues from stakeholders.
    • Troubleshoot system errors, workflow inconsistencies, and data discrepancies.
    • Escalate complex architectural or integration issues to Lead or Manager as appropriate.
    • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and release validation activities.
  • System Analysis & Reportingย 
    • Evaluate system performance, usage trends, and data accuracy.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to measure operational KPIs and system health.
    • Identify inefficiencies in system configuration and recommend improvements.
    • Support automation initiatives by identifying manual process dependencies.
    • Partner with Data and Engineering teams to validate integrations and data flows.
  • Documentationย 
    • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of workflows, system configurations, integrations, and procedures.
    • Ensure adherence to technical governance standards, access controls, and change management processes.
    • Contribute to shared knowledge resources and standard operating procedures.
    • Monitor compliance with established system best practices.

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in technical operations, systems administration, business systems, or technical project coordination.
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems management, process improvement, and technical execution.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in technical environments.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce, including reporting and configuration support.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel; familiarity with data models and reporting concepts.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, and automation fundamentals preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinker with high attention to detail, particularly regarding data integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions within defined scope.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong discretion when handling system access and sensitive data.

While this position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., we will prioritize those who live in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and who are available to come into our Headquarters in Arlington, VA two days a week.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($66,000 - $84,000), with potential bonus eligibility.ย  Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
