Job description

A confidential midstream energy infrastructure operator is seeking an experienced Project Portfolio Cost Analyst to support capital project teams through cost control, financial reporting, forecasting, invoice/PO tracking, and clear management-level reporting. This role sits close to construction and project management teams and is built for someone who can bring structure, accuracy, and practical insight to a busy capital projects environment.


What you will own: Support project cost reporting across large-scale energy infrastructure projects; track budgets, commitments, POs, change orders, invoices, accruals, forecasts, contingencies, and variances; help standardize reporting and improve visibility for project leaders; partner with engineering, procurement, construction, accounting, vendors, and contractors to keep project data accurate and actionable.


Requirements

  • 10+ years in cost analysis/project cost control.
  • Direct pipeline or midstream experience as a Cost Analyst.
  • Advanced Excel; strong communication and team orientation.
  • Background in data analytics, business, accounting, finance, project controls, or related discipline.
  • Nice to have: Power BI, Oracle Projects, SAP, Primavera P6, MS Project, EVMS, risk registers, project closeout, or EPC/procurement exposure.
