POSITION SUMMARY
The System Integration Manager is responsible for orchestrating the seamless integration of hardware, embedded systems, cloud services, and application software across complex, connected product ecosystems, including vehicles, components, equipment and third parties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
All employees are required to support Rosenbauer's Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.
  1. Own End to End Integration Architecture
    Elaborate and maintain the full IoT integration architecture in close cooperation with RBI/RBA and country teams, explicitly accounting for country specific needs.
  2. Enable Interoperability
    Co design API frameworks, canonical data models, and communication protocols with architects to ensure interoperability across heterogeneous systems and vendors.
  3. Optimize Architectural Trade offs & Patterns
    Evaluate latency, bandwidth, security, cost, and scalability trade offs; drive adoption of smart connected intelligent solutions, digital twins, frameworks, and event driven IoT architectures
  4. Design for Longevity & Tooling Fit
    Ensure architectural decisions support long term maintainability, modularity, and rapid onboarding of new devices/services/markets; evaluate and select integration technologies, middleware, and tools aligned to business and technical requirements.
  5. Localize Requirements & Align Stakeholders
    Translate country specific business needs and network conditions into technical integration requirements and drive alignment across all stakeholders.
  6. Assure Compliance & Certifications
    Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CCPA, FISMA, PIPEDA, and global shipment considerations) and coordinate system certifications (e.g., US Cyber Trust Mark) while accounting for regional standards.
  7. Lead Cross Functional Delivery
    Orchestrate integration efforts across software, hardware, cloud, cybersecurity, product, and third parties; manage timelines, risks, dependencies, and communications; act as local SPOC for customer projects (e.g., Airport DEVS, on premises installs, industry adaptations).
  8. Validate End to End Quality
    Define and execute integration and country specific test strategies, including system level, interoperability, performance and scalability, end to end scenarios, and compliance testing; oversee CI/CD for integrated IoT systems.
  9. Drive Operational Readiness & Deployment
    Ensure device onboarding, UIs, and backends support local languages, formats, and processes; support production deployments and smooth handover to operations; accompany customer onboarding/adoption and monitor/report post launch performance and reliability metrics.
  10. Provide Multi Tier Support & Continuous Improvement
    Deliver 1st/2nd/3rd level support globally with Rosenbauer teams; troubleshoot complex system interactions, lead root cause analysis, and run continuous improvement initiatives to enhance robustness and maintainability.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA'S): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
(K) nowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering (or a related field) is required.
  • 3+ years related experience and proven job proficiencies required.
  • Experience in heavy truck and/or automotive systems preferred.
  • Deep understanding of IoT architectures or software interfaces is essential.
  • Background in leading technical initiatives or projects, such as in roles like Technical Project Manager, Systems/Software Architect, Product Owner, or Test Manager within a technology focused environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of requirements engineering (both functional and non functional) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with North American technology trends and regulatory standards is a plus.
