This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovative solutions for our clients in the Convenience Fuel Retail (CFR) division.

Technical Consultants work as a part of an integrated consulting team to deliver NCR solutions. In this exciting role, you will help analyze and audit clients' current state, identify needs, and recommend the appropriate solutions.

This role will report to the Partner of Professional Services, CFR division.

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Deliver NCR solutions as part of an integrated Consulting Team
  • Must be successful in driving technical solutions and leading a team of Consultants on large client efforts
  • Must pay close attention to details and deadlines and provide timely status and escalations
  • Must be successful at working at customer site and in a team environment
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems using sound judgment and experience
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with TCP/IP networking and Window Operating Systems as part of the client implementation
  • Will review and analyze logs for issue triage and ticket creation
  • Must ensure the NCR solution is configured appropriately to carry out the client's business functions.
  • Implement NCR solutions for our customers on time, within budget and at a high quality
  • Become a trusted advisor to our customers ensuring our customers experience high business value from NCR products
  • Serve as a customer advocate within the rest of the NCR organization
  • Will become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an NCR proprietary solution suite
  • Provide training and coaching on the use and operation of NCR solutions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science and/or related field required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
  • 5+years of experience in providing Client Facing Professional Services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead a team of consultants and provide expert technical advice and strategy to the client
  • Ability to communicate clients' business needs to the technical teams at NCR for resolution
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal skills
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems including Windows 7/10/Server/POS Ready.
  • Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP issues including gateways/firewalls/DNS issues.
  • General knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • General knowledge of XML
  • 25% to 50% travel required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • General knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Experience working in a project-oriented environment
  • Experience in Retail industry
  • Experience in Convenience Store industry
  • Experience with POS technology
  • International travel might be required
