Technical Engineer - Data, Applications & Integrations

We are seeking an outstanding Technical Engineer - Data & Integrations to play a crucial role in guiding the technical direction, architecture, and development of our application solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Technical Leadership and Direction
o Lead technical design and architecture discussions for application development and integration projects.
o Provide guidance on best practices and coding standards.
o Ensure alignment with overall IT strategy and business objectives.
Requirement Gathering and Analysis
o Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand application needs, goals, and challenges.
o Elicit, document, and prioritize functional and technical requirements.
o Analyze requirements to ensure they are clear, feasible, and aligned with business objectives.
System Design and Integration
o Design robust application architectures that support integration with third-party systems and APIs using tools such as Boomi and direct connections.
o Design and validate that technical solutions meet business expectations and are scalable for future needs.
o Oversee the implementation of integration solutions, ensuring data integrity and security.
Data Pipeline Management and Design
  • Design, build, and manage data pipelines to facilitate efficient data flow and processing.
  • Implement data transformation processes using tools like FiveTran.
  • Utilize Databricks for data engineering tasks, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data integration and deployment workflows.

Development and Code Review
o Lead the development of applications and integration solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Testing and Quality Assurance
o Develop and execute test plans to validate application functionality and integration points.
o Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with end-users and gather feedback.

Deployment and Change Management
o Support the deployment of applications and integrations into production environments.
o Assist in change management processes and documentation for end-users.

o Collaborate with technical teams to address any updates or enhancements needed.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years in transport, logistics, construction, materials handling or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
