As Technical Product Development Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Nood's product portfolio, working directly with the CEO and cross-functional teams to drive innovation and operational excellence across device and skincare programs.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end development pipelines for device and skincare programs, including timelines, project files, vendor communications, risk registers, and decision logs.
  • Manage device development critical paths from industrial design through tooling, engineering validation, testing, certification, and first production run.
  • Oversee international manufacturing partners, handling technical correspondence, change orders, and escalations.
  • Coordinate across industrial design, mechanical/electrical engineering, firmware, packaging, and QA, resolving and escalating cross-functional conflicts as needed.
  • Lead skincare development timelines covering formulation, stability/compatibility testing, packaging, claims substantiation, and regulatory review.
  • Manage contract manufacturer relationships, including briefing, follow-up, escalation, and driving data-backed vendor communications with clear deadlines.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation such as briefs, trackers, spec sheets, launch-readiness checklists, live Gantt charts, meeting notes, decision logs, and action items.
  • Proactively identify risks, flag issues early, and provide recommended paths forward to leadership and the CEO.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BS)
  • 5+ years managing physical product development programs in beauty/skincare, consumer devices/hardware, or technically rigorous fields such as medical devices, biotech, or consumer goods manufacturing
  • Experience owning launch timelines across multiple cross-functional teams for physical products
  • Experience managing international manufacturers or contractors across time zones and holding vendors accountable to deadlines
  • Experience building and maintaining product development project documentation (briefs, trackers, spec sheets, Gantt charts, decision logs) used by a cross-functional team
  • Experience writing vendor and manufacturer communications independently, including technical updates, change requests, and escalations
  • Experience communicating with technical stakeholders (engineers, chemists) and international manufacturing partners (including China)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Available to work during US time-zone business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working proficiency with Notion, Asana or ClickUp, and Google Sheets
  • Professional fluency in English
  • Professional working proficiency in Mandarin
  • Able to travel regularly for work

Benefits

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary of $85,000-$110,000 USD (plus performance-based bonus tied to product launch milestones).
  • Equity: meaningful ownership opportunity in a high-growth brand.
  • Comprehensive health/vision/dental benefits; 401(k); PTO; hybrid flexibility.
Why Nood

You'll work side-by-side with founders and executives to define what's next in beauty innovation, owning both the creation of new products and the continuous improvement of our core line. You'll have autonomy, visibility, and the resources to bring category-defining ideas to life.
