Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Team Leader is responsible for product quality in the Odon facility. Key responsibilities include ability to lead the food safety and ISO programs, customer complaint investigation, and root cause removal.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill duties of the SQF Practitioner
  • Coordinate the internal ISO and food safety audits
  • Leads customer and 3rd party audits
  • Works with Technical Department to ensure product specifications are entered in the Synergy Database.
  • Works with Technical Department to ensure trial and sample materials are properly tested, identified, packaged and delivered
  • Assist in complaint and defect analysis
  • Works with Technical Department to write/modify work instructions for equipment and testing protocols.
  • Report and analyze work load data to Quality Manager
  • Assist /Back up the Quality Technician duties: issuing COA for both Bloomington and Odon facilities, conduct specialty film performance testing (GC, MVTR, OTR, BHT and physical testing), retain management, calibration program
  • Orders needed supplies
  • Daily oversight of Quality Inspectors

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required with minimum 2 years of laboratory or quality assurance work related

experience
  • Working knowledge of computer software including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Explorer, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access)
  • ISO 9001:2008 and SQF experience preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed work ethic
  • Ability to interpret statistical results
