This is an outstanding opportunity for a SAP Technical Manager to lead the Digital Transformation, architecture and implementation a very large global greenfield SAP S/4HANA instance.

This SAP Technical Manager role requires a technical manager who combines strong organizational leadership with hands-on SAP architectural depth. The SAP Technical Manager will serve as both a people leader and a technical SAP Subject Matter expert working directly alongside our Senior SAP Solutions Architect and SAP Leads to validate technical architectural designs, implement and enforce a strict "Clean Core" architecture and data governance and review custom code remediation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greenfield S/4HANA Execution: Drive the technical execution and delivery of our global SAP S/4HANA greenfield transformation program, evaluating core design decisions, data governance and integration patterns.
  • Hands-on Technical Collaboration: Actively engage with the Senior SAP Solutions Architect and SAP Technical Leads to review technical architectural designs, data governance frameworks and models, and interface specifications.
  • Clean Core Governance: Enforce SAP "Clean Core" architectural standards across the enterprise by evaluating legacy Z-code, driving custom code remediation via ABAP Test Cockpit, and steering complex custom logic toward SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) side-by-side extensions
  • Team Leadership & Expansion: Lead and mentor a dedicated 30-person SAP Department that includes a Senior SAP Solutions Architect, SAP Technical/Functional Leads, and a Program Directors, while actively scaling technical capacity to drive the SAP S/4HANA greenfield roadmap
  • Strategic Digital Transformation Planning: Partner with global executive leadership to align long-range SAP strategy, annual digital transformation initiatives, and organizational change management objectives.

Requirements

  • Total SAP Experience: 10+ years of progressive hands-on technical SAP experience, including at least 5+ years in a technical SAP management or SAP team lead role.
  • Greenfield S/4HANA Leadership: Proven experience leading at least 1 full-lifecycle end to end SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation on a cloud platform (Private Edition or Public Cloud on RISE preferably).
  • Clean Core Expertise: Deep understanding and experience creating Clean Core strategies and principles, SAP BTP side-by-side extensions, Data Governance and legacy ABAP custom code refactoring.
  • Technical Depth: Demonstrated technical background in SAP architectural design, data governance, and integration framework design, with the proven ability to evaluate technical options alongside SAP architects and Service Integrators and translate technical concepts into business ROI narratives for C-Suite executives.
  • Team Management: Track record of managing, mentoring, and scaling cross-functional SAP technical and functional teams during enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
  • Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
