Job description

EAGLE is seeking a Technical Certification Specialist that would be responsible for conducting audit report technical reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and data integrity.

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide clear, concise technical feedback on certification decisions, including rejection justifications and clarification support for Certification Managers, Auditors, and Clients.
  • Support the Client Services team by conducting ongoing technical file reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Analyze trends and recurring issues identified during Technical Reviews to inform training materials and internal communications, including newsletters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and oversight processes; deliver constructive feedback to auditors to support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in oversight audits and provide support as needed.
  • Support recall and appeal processes within the Electronic Management Information System (EMIS), ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant handling.
  • Contribute to internal training initiatives, including newsletter development and participation in Boot Camp sessions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, and biochemistry.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a food related industry.
  • SQF technical reviewer or SQF Auditor credentials preferred
  • Working knowledge in GFSI programs
  • Some travel will be required for trade shows and technical events
  • Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate with employees, customers, and auditors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft WORD, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and SQF Assessment Database
  • Knowledge of Food production or processing experience and understanding of HACCP principles.
  • Project management and task completion skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple audit processes simultaneously.
