Job description

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Bridgeport Machinist with an automation company.


Day Shift-Start Time, 6am. Working around 45-55 hours/week.
Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual Bridgeport vertical milling machines to machine precision components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
  • Machine steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials to specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Square, drill, bore, slot, face, keyway, and finish machine parts using manual equipment.
  • Perform precision layout work using measuring and marking tools.
  • Verify finished parts using precision inspection equipment.
  • Modify and repair existing tooling, fixtures, and machine components.
  • Select proper cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and machining requirements.
  • Perform tapping, reaming, boring, and drilling operations.
  • Deburr and finish machined parts prior to assembly.


Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have own tools and rolling toolbox.
