Job description

Millennium Power Service is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing team in Westfield, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work, problem-solving, and producing high-quality components in a fast-paced industrial environment.

What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment including:
    • Manual lathes and mills
    • PROTO TRAK lathes and milling machines
    • Bridgeport machines
    • Haas and Doosan multi-axis machines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
  • Program and edit machining operations using Mastercam and Proto Trak controls
  • Select tooling, fixtures, inserts, and materials for efficient machining operations
  • Manufacture precision components while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and depth gauges
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to improve performance and minimize downtime
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and fellow machinists to improve processes and production efficiency
  • Maintain accurate production and job records

What We're Looking For
  • 5-7+ years of machining experience preferred
  • Strong background in both CNC and manual machining
  • Experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC equipment
  • Mastercam programming experience preferred
  • Experience with Haas and Doosan machines is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and metal properties
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Solid math and geometry skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training or machining certifications are a plus

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Overtime and weekend work available as needed
  • Opportunity for occasional travel to customer sites
