We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Business Development Manager to join our team in U.S. (preferably in California, Texas, Washington, or Pennsylvania). This role will report directly to the North American Regional Product Marketing Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Product Marketing Manager will work with cross-functional teams that are charged with marketing Amphenol's next generation power products within the Datacom Market serving (Rack & Power, Storage, Servers, Networks, etc.) OEM/ODMs. This role will be responsible for promoting their product(s) to the market, winning key new design opportunities, developing/executing the product strategies required to rapidly grow the business, both top and bottom line.

  • Proactively present and promote the Power Solutions portfolio to help the global sales teams understand the positioning, benefits and target customers.
  • Work closely with the global sales teams to identify requirements and market trends to facilitate new design wins. Maximize share at key account(s) by coordinating pricing and market strategy with sales.
  • Drive the new business opportunity funnel, helping sales and the business unit align on the strategy and actions required to win each new opportunity; develop sales and marketing tools when required.
  • Prepare and support monthly and quarterly revenue projections; forecast analysis and book-to-ship estimates.
  • Serve as liaison between customer requests and internal functions (Operations, Engineering, Customer service, Quality etc.) Actively engage with customer's commodity and engineering teams on daily basis.
  • Work cross internal teams (marketing, engineering, business development and operations) to proactively identify product and solution gaps and define market requirements to close the total available market space.
  • Manage project timelines, product roadmaps, and technical deliverables.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% for customer visits, field engagements, trainings, factory visits, etc.
  • As a result of working in global team, attendance in meetings outside of standard working hours is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate must be versatile, with a good blend of business acumen, be technically savvy and a quick learner with the ability to manage new responsibilities in a dynamic environment.  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a technical engineering discipline.
  • Fluent in English, bilingual candidates fluent in Mandarin a plus
  • 4+ years of product management, sales and/or technical business development experience; preferably for an electronics product line in a related market.
  • Technical knowledge of the interconnect industry and/or familiarity with datacenter architecture, AI computing, server/storage hardware
  • Exceptional organization, creativity, adaptability, and strong project management to in a rapidly changing, multi-tasking environment.
  • Good communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, GANTT charts etc.), the ability to integrate with cross functional teams globally and a willingness to "roll up your sleeves" to get the job done.
