Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technical Assistant is a member of the Anesthesia care team. They assist licensed Anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. In this role, they contribute to safe efficient and cost-effective anesthesia care. The Anesthesia Technical Assistant provides basic technical and clinical support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases. These types of cases include all General anesthetic cases as well as cardiac procedures. They provide this service by cleaning, preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia. They also assist the licensed anesthesia provider by delivering of equipment and invasive lines, and airway management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • No prior training or experience is necessary, will be given necessary training in department to achieve an adequate level of job knowledge
