Job description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
This position is responsible for driving business growth and achieving profitable, sustainable sales targets for selected technical product lines within the Rainin sales organization. The role demands specialized expertise focusing on various applications, workflows, or customer segments such as Proteomics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, and Cell and Gene Therapy. As the solutions product champion and technical expert, the incumbent supports Sales Managers and Sales Representatives at a technical escalation point through strategic initiatives, application support, standardization projects, customer demonstrations, and training. The responsibilities are as follows:
  • Provide continuous support to sales representatives on high-value, complex opportunities from qualification through to closing.
  • Partner with sales counterparts for proactive engagement with targeted non-customer, high potential sites to position Rainin solutions.
  • Leverage a consultative sales approach to drive national and divisional opportunities, deliver technical solutions, strengthen competitive positioning, and build strategic customer relationships across key accounts and partnerships.
  • Analyze customer applications to deliver compelling demonstrations of Rainin solutions aimed at optimizing workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to execute strategic campaigns, build and manage a robust sales pipeline, accelerate sales cycles, and improve win rates.
  • Drive results through persistent follow-up and strategic engagement with sales reps, new prospects, and existing customers.
  • Contribute to the development of technical papers and application notes by leveraging a deep understanding of customer requirements and Rainin product offerings.
  • Enhance the technical and application expertise of the sales team via ongoing training and support throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of competitor products and effectively communicate the differentiation of Rainin solutions.
  • Supports initiatives to continuously improve commercial processes and the customer experience
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

To be eligible for this position, you must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring any employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. What You Need to Succeed
  • A Bachelor's degree in biology or a related technical discipline from a four-year college or university.
  • Advanced degree preferred in of the following areas: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or Bioinformatics
  • Minimum of four (4) years prior experience in direct sales involving laboratory automation and instruments, along with familiarity with typical biological laboratory applications and workflows.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and public speaking abilities; persuasive and engaging.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships, coalitions, and networks.
