Technical Account Manager
Position Summary
The Technical Account Manager serves as the primary relationship owner for assigned customer accounts and acts as the key liaison between customers and internal technical teams. This role combines customer relationship management with project coordination to ensure customer requirements are understood, communicated, and successfully executed throughout the product and project lifecycle.
Acting as the voice of the customer within the organization, the Technical Account Manager works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams to drive successful project outcomes, resolve issues, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The position plays a critical role in fostering long-term customer partnerships, supporting account growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and consistent execution.
  • Develop an understanding of customer applications, technical requirements, business objectives, and priorities.
  • Act as the internal advocate for customer needs and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Manage customer communications related to schedules, project status, deliverables, technical issues, and escalations.
  • Coordinate project activities from order request through delivery and project closeout.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate project milestones, action items, and risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities between engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams.
  • Lead customer meetings, status reviews, and follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate schedule changes, expedited requests, and recovery plans as required.
  • Track customer and internal deliverables to support successful project execution.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships, improve service levels, and support account growth.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the customer experience and operational performance.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical account management, account management, customer program management, project management, or related customer-facing roles within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
  • Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and driving project execution.
  • Ability to understand technical products, manufacturing processes, and customer application requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems used for project tracking and customer management.
  • Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineered products experience considered an asset.
  • PMP, CAPM, or related certification considered an asset.

The pay range for this role is:
95,000 - 115,000 USD per year (Tualatin HQ)
